Elastic Path is an ecommerce platform with a bold mission to revolutionize how consumers shop. They needed a campaign to bolster brand awareness of their platform and incite urgency among retail leaders to invest in better customer experiences.
I created the “Sci-Fi Shopper” campaign around the idea that customers expect more streamlined, exciting and futuristic experiences — like the ones they’ve seen in science fiction.
To prove that hypothesis, I surveyed 1,000 consumers and 300 retail decision-makers to contrast expectations for more futuristic shopping experiences with retailers’ ill-preparedness to meet them. I collaborated with designers and a freelance illustrator to compare sci-fi depictions of future technology with tech that exists today.
I also produced and drafted copy for an animated ad to highlight key findings from the report and drive lead generation.
This campaign earned our client Elastic Path widespread media coverage, including placements in Wired, Business Insider, and AdWeek. This campaign also won the 2020 PRSA Totem Award.
