Digital Database Product Campaigns

Our client — the cloud computing arm of the online retailer whose name is slapped all over 10 packages in your lobby — had a challenge. With dozens of separate cloud product offerings owned by even more marketing stakeholders across the brand, the company struggled to differentiate products in its advertising efforts. Leaders also wanted to better empathize with the brand’s audience and elevate messages beyond the dry, technical copy that is sadly typical of B2B advertising.

With our creative team, I conceptualized and wrote copy for digital ad campaigns and landing pages to promote awareness for various cloud computing services and products. We worked within existing brand guidelines to create scalable, memorable concepts that played with tone and surprising metaphors. These campaigns set each product apart while still maintaining recognizable, consistent branding.

Serverless for Startups Landing Page

Our client also asked if we could rework their serverless computing product offering landing page to target a startup audience. They came to us with a landing page that was difficult to navigate, highly technical, and overwhelming.

Since we were aiming to excite a startup audience, I focused on the goal of an entrepreneur: winning over a tough pitch room full of savvy investors. With that in mind, we landed on “The Pitch” concept that guided the design and copy:

  • Creative Direction: Tap into the funding-focused mindset of your startup audience and establish the client as a partner in growth with messaging that speaks to how embracing Serverless makes startups attractive to investors.

  • Key Selling Idea: Success in the pitch room starts with serverless. From pre-seed to Series C, use (the client) to build, iterate, and scale faster.

  • Tone: Direct, Supportive, Active, Empowering
