SingleStore is a cloud-native database built for data-intensive applications — think ride-sharing apps that need to connect customers with drivers in seconds, streaming apps that provide real-time recommendations to viewers, and fraud prevention technology for credit card companies. SingleStore is beloved among developers for its speed in data ingest, transaction and query processing.

The brand owns a billboard on Highway 101, which is one of the first sights seen by travelers as they depart SFO into the city. Our challenge: use this billboard to send playful, cheeky, and even provocative messages to developers to leave a lasting impression before they’re bombarded with other tech billboards across the city.

SingleStore combines both transactional and analytical workloads, eliminating the need for devs to stitch together multiple databases — which causes not only frustrating admin work, but leads to lag that just doesn’t work for SingleStore’s clients (among which include Uber, Hulu, and Bank of America).

This billboard celebrated SingleStore’s versatility — and just in time for Pride month.
